SSC Equity Training – Empowering you to not be another crime statistic.
I have recently started SSC Equity Training’s Personal Safety & Security Course. Crime in South Africa is a huge issue and I want to be empowered to know that I have the skills to handle any situation. I don’t want my family and myself to become another “Statistic”. Im taking my safety into my own hands by taking this course. Relying on law enforcement and private security companies isn’t enough.
Everyone I know has a story of being a victim of crime in South Africa, robbery, hijacking, muggings and the list goes on. All these crimes have negative effects on our families and adds stress to our everyday life. After seeing “that” video of the child almost being abducted (you know which video I’m talking about), I was honestly shocked and a bit traumatized. It made me realize that I wouldn’t know what to do in that situation! As a parent my daughters safety is always on my mind.

This course has been written by a group of experts with 70+ years of combined experience in the security industry. They are Francois Marais, Hayley Makhanya and Howard Griffiths from SSC Training.
In this training we will look at specific risks and threats that we are faced with in the South African context, situational awareness, principles of survival and those principles in action. We will also discuss the criminal cycle and explain how you can avoid becoming a victim. Specific areas of focus will be in Rape avoidance & survival, kidnapping & abduction, as well as Vehicle hijacking avoidance and survival.
