My Glam Make Up Workshop at MUD.
Last week I was hosted by MUD Makeup studio for a workshop. I love makeup but am terrible at applying it. I really enjoyed the makeup workshop. I learned tips and tricks that I can use at home.
Aloma the Mud Makeup artist walked me step by step through the process of putting on makeup and she explained why she chose a colour and why she used each products or tool. She also gave me insight into the ethics of the brand.
MUD is a professional makeup brand which products make to last and look good in photographs.
The products are cruelty free and they are currently replacing the fibres in their makeup brushes. Not all the makeup is Vegan, however most of it is vegan. Its best to speak to a MUD Makeup artist to guide you when selecting makeup products. Each MUD Makeup Artist is highly trained.
My Makeup Workshop included:
Selecting the correct colour foundation for my skin tone and skin type (I have yellow undertones)
- Selecting correct colours complexion. Autumn colours work for my colouring (Browns, purples and golds)
- Looking at my features and deciding what to highlight. I have hooded eyes so a winged eye liner would make my eyes look smaller.
- Correct application of products, and what tools to use.
- What products to use and why.

I gained a lot from the workshop. Having an expert show me how to achieve the look has given me the confidence to replicate it at home. New products have made their way into my makeup kit that I usually would never use! Now I have the confidence to use highlighter as I know how and where to apply it instead of looking like a disco ball.
